Darrell's Hiking Page

Trail Update:

The Crabtree Falls trail has been completely redone by the National Park service a couple years back. There is now a large, paved parking area just off Va Route 56 along with a $3 entrance fee. The last time that I visited, there weren't any park rangers on-site, so the fee was on the "honor system." Since all the photos of Crabtree here were taken back in 1999, it's time for a new page, so check back again soon.

Check out my page of favorite hiking locations here in the Shenandoah Valley and surrounding area. Feel free to look around and enjoy the photo gallery while you're here.  If you have any questions about hiking in central Virginia drop me an e-mail and I'll be glad to respond.
